Though the California Mountain Unicycle Weekend is primarily a noncompetitive trail riding get-together, some competitions are fun too. We pioneered Unicycle Trials in 1998 (a crude version using only the natural terrain).

Events:

• Muni and Coker Off-Road Racing (Friday)
• Trials course (Saturday)
• Natural trials at the Jetty (Non-competition, Sunday)

Rules

Trials:
The Trials competition, if held, is expected to use the latest version of Unicycle Trials rules recommended by Kris Holm. If not, the current IUF Trials rules, found in the IUF Rulebook, will be used.

These events will be open to anyone. The Trials event will be divided into two or three groups, based on ability.

Unicycle Restrictions (all competitions):
Make sure it only has one wheel. No restrictions on wheel size, crank arm length, or anything else.

Safety Equipment (all competitions):
For any competitions we do, the minimum requirement will be kneepads/armor, gloves/wristguards, and a helmet. Anything additional is fine, and is up to you. Don't want to wear any of the above? Too bad. Your safety is our concern.
